"no serial number evident, back of chassis with text Mk III Super 100 Amplifier"

The legendary JTM45 is one of the key ingredients for the epic "Still Got The Blues" setup: all you need is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard nicknamed "Stripe", a 90's Marshall Guv'nor overdrive pedal and a Marshall JTM45/100 into a Marshall 1960B 4×12 cabinet and you're there. And if you're not a quadrillionaire enjoying your morning swim in The Money Bin, replica's of the mentioned gear will do fine as well...

Born in Belfast in 1952, Gary Moore rose to fame with his million-selling 1990 album Still Got The Blues and the 1978 hit single Parisienne Walkways which features vocals from Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott, who co-wrote the song with Moore. Alongside his successful solo career, he played guitar with the legendary rock band Thin Lizzy and was also a member of the jazz fusion group Colosseum II and the original Skid Row line-up.

The Bonhams auction celebrated Gary Moore's legacy, marking the last of a series of sales of Moore's collection to take place at Bonhams together with key auction partners including The Gary Moore Estate, Guitarist Magazine and Gibson. The Final Encore collection included guitars, amps, studio equipment, stage-worn clothing and accessories. The sale was led by a Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar from 1960, one of Gary's longest-serving instruments and probably the second most associated with him, used both in the studio and in live performance. Available via Private Sale was Gary Moore's 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar also known as 'Stripe' and became Gary's most recorded guitar, famously used on Still Got The Blues, After The War, Oh Pretty Woman, Walking By Myself, and more.
