All woods selected and sorted for resonance and light weight personally. The neck thickness is exactly like it should be: a nice '58 chuncky neck! I can honestly say that these are the best Explorers I have ever seen or played: The best most resonant Mahogany and the most beautiful Indian Rosewood combined with superb craftsmanship and top notch Custom Shop Humbucker pickups and ditto hardware make up for a Custom shop Explorer unlike you have ever experienced and I mean INCLUDING vintage Gibsons! Look at that true to life ageing and finish. Looks, feels and plays like the real thing.
 
These guitars come with a rectangular Gibson Custom Shop OHSC, Gibson Custom Shop COA, Max Guitars COA, extra aged white pickguard and special Max 15th anniversary serial numbering on the headstock.
