Inspired by American car culture, the Gibson Memphis ES-335 Big Block Retro takes it back to the garages of the 1950's. With features drawn from serval legendary Gibson models, this ES-335 has a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with slim taper horns, beautiful metallic gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, multi-ply ES-345 binding, and ES-355 mother of pearl full block inlays. A modern hot rod of all-retro styling!
 
A pair of Memphis Historic Spec PAF humbucking pickups deliver those classic '60s tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. These PAF style pickups are slightly underwound and feature unbalanced coils for a truly historic sound, this is as good as it gets! More responsive to your playing dynamics, they lend themselves to expressive players that like to convey their music in the most genuine way possible. With distortion they can sound fairly raunchy and bold, meaning it's not just a one trick pony by any means. You can use this for jazz, blues, classic rock or indie - it's that versatile!
