2017 Gibson Aged Slash 1958 First Standard 8 3096 True Historic
When first looking at this wonderful authentically aged Lifton case, your heartbeat accelerates a little and your palms get sweaty...
This guitar truly is something else. Down to the very last detail this guitar is based on the legendary 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard owned by Saul Hudson, AKA “Slash”. This axe is inseparably connected with the band Guns ‘n’ Roses.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard in Cherry Burst finish made its debut in July 1958 at the ‘Music Industry Trade Show’ in Chicago and after much research it became known that the very Les Paul played by Slash was used in this actual music show in 1958 and was thus the first ’58’ Les Paul Standard ever!!
Without knowing this fact, Slash rocked his guitar for many years in GnR and played it into the state that has now been perfectly reproduced with this stunning replica.
The original with serial number #8 3096 was measured and analyzed in an incredibly complex process at the Gibson Custom Shop, in order to achieve the highest degree of authenticity, and has taken into account the ‘True Historic’ specifications. Just mind-blowing!
Being a real work of art, this axe not only looks amazing but also plays just excellent with a not too thick neck profile, which resembles more that of a’59’. The two specially made Alnico III custom buckers provide the authentic Burst sound, and unmistakable the sound of Slash. His feeling, his intonation, his phrasing’s are unique. But you get a lot closer to it with this guitar in hand. ;-)
Comes in the original Aged Lifton Case with Slash hand signed COA certificate, hangtags, manufacturer’s papers, keys etc etc.
