Very rare Tokai Explorer, only made for the Japanese market!!

The EX105 is the same model as the EX120, which was only a new type number for marketing purposes. These Japanese made Tokai guitars are not to be confused with the cheaper Chinese examples - these are great guitars.....!!

This example is a recently aged and played Tokai Master Copy of the legendary 1958 Gibson Explorer and it is a very good stab at it as well. All mahogany neck and body, rosewood fretboard with a chunky 22-fret neck but not too big, super low action and plays like a dream. Just look at the attention to detail and craftmanship of this build! The pickups sound warm and full and have enough bark and bite to cut through the mix in a full blast hardrock band, or it can sound warm and rich enough to play sweet melodies and jazz... This mahogany slab of lightning can do it all!
