You have found it! A rare and incredible killer Pre-Historic R6 Goldtop; an almost 35 year-old collector's piece conserved in very good condition! Find another one for sale, let alone in this condition.

These models were released just short of two years before the official Historic range was produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, and as such they are often know as the "Pre-Historic" models.

This stunning guitar has a beautiful 1 piece Honduras mahogany back and neck with nice figuring, a dark naturally oily East Indian rosewood fretboard with thin binding, lovely round medium neck profile, authentic 50's style top carve, original hardware, P100 pickups (that Gibson used in this era which are essentially double stacked P90's), ABR-1 bridge, electronics and CTS POT's with untouched solder dating R1379118 (week 18, 1991). Also included is a pair of Luxe Grey Tiger Paper in Oil 1956 reissue capacitors Made in USA 400VDC 0.02MFD to improve the sound! There's only a few spots with wear but in general it is in amazing condition.

It’s not a lightweight at 4.6Kg but boy does it have the sound. It’s well worth putting in those extra reps when at the gym... You want this and you want to play it. Creamy fat tones come out of the neck pickup and hot screaming leads soar from the bridge. Blend them together and you reach tonal bliss.

Comes with the original Gibson Les Paul Brown OHSC Hardshell Case with pink plush lining and shroud, made in Cadana.
