SOLD! - 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom Ebony Black Beauty

Here's a roaring axe that has seen tons of action with one hell of a nasty punk rocker!! (and a few others along the way...) 
 
This '74 Les Paul Custom still has it's original factory black finish that shows a lot of playwear with areas that show scratches, marks, dings and dongs. The finish around the heel and neck has been worked at and there are some refinished areas but under UV light they light up so whatever happened there it was most likely in the 70's. Although there is no clear visible evidence of any breaks or cracks, we can assume that the heel and neck had minor cracks and needed to be reinforced at some point long ago. Several different tuners have been on the headstock but the original Gibson Grover Keystone tuners are back on, snug fit. There are also signs of stickers being removed from the headstock and body, visible under UV light.
 
The pickups are the original Gibson 2.737.842 Patent Number stamped pickups with the original covers, the pots and caps are replaced for high quality parts. Bridge is Made in Germany. Bridgeposts, stoptail, studs, knobs, covers, pickguard, Gibson Tulip tuners etc all look original, the reflector cap of the bridge volume knob is a replacement but the knob is original. The neck is straight and the professional refret is in very good condition. 
 
The guitar obviously rocks like there's no tomorrow and comes with the original Gibson Les Paul Case with 1 latch not functioning.
