SOLD! - 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom Cherry Sunburst
Very nice Instrument and perfect investment in great condition for a 51 year old guitar. It has some minor playwear, marks and weather checking and 1 spot near the PU switch but nothing out of the ordinary.
There are no cracks or repairs and no damages. It has the original 4 matching CBA pots that date week 3 1971, 2 x Spraque Black Beauty Capacitors, 2 original Gibson Patent Number sticker T-Top Humbuckers, the original switch, tip, trussrod cover, electronics and wiring all with untouched solder.
It has a beautiful 4-piece pancake mahagony body with 7-ply binding on the top and 5-ply binding on the back and a vibrant Cherry Sunburst finish, a mahogany neck with small volute, bound ebony fretboard with block inlays and 22 Frets which are in excellent condition. The gold ABR-1 Bridge and stoptail are original. The saddles are replaced but the originals are in the case. The tuners were replaced for Schallers in the 70's as are the strap pins. The black toggle switch ring, PU rings and pickguard were changed in the 70's for creme ones to make it stand out more. They all light up perfectly under UV light. The guitar coms in the original Gibson "Chainsaw" Protector case with red plush lining in good condition, one latch needs replacement.
