All original 1969 Gibson SG with 1968 appointments, no cracks, breaks or repairs, weighing only 3.37Kg.
Comes including an original late 60's Gibson SG Standard specs sheet and a set of original 70's Gibson Strings!
This beauty has a 3-piece neck with a stepped long heel neck joint and a 40,5mm nut width, Gibson logo with open b and o and no dot on the i, small touchups on the headstock edge, beautiful RW fretboard with pearl trapeze inlays in superb condition, kluson deluxe double line double ring tuners, the fretboard has been professionally refretted (original frets in the case). It has a new nut (original nut in the case).
The guitar retains its original finish which has faded to a lovely brown with a hint of red. All shows perfectly under UV blacklight and there are no oversprays or refinishes. Neer the heel is a square mark of a shop sticker (in the case) from Saris, Rotterdam, a famous music shop in The Netherlands in the 60's. The body has some wear but all within reason for a 55 year old rocket ship. The jack output is replaced (original in the case) but it has the original batwing pickguard, 2 x unopened patent number sticker humbucker pickups w/ untouched solder, POT's and wiring is all original with untouched solder as well, Gibson Pat No 2.740.313 ABR-1 bridge with DJ in circle mark,
Gibson Maestro Lyre Vibrola Tremolo. A pair of studholes can be seen under the trem base, these could be factory to make it a stoptail or installed shortly after?
Comes in the original late 60's import Cheney England rectangular case with blue plush lining
