Have you ever seen a Marshall Popular combo in original Pinstripe?? Well, we have... ;-)
 
This is a very early production Marshall Popular 1930 the super cool original pinstripe grillcloth! It comes with 2 x (Mullard/Tungsram) ECL86 power tubes, 1 x Mullard 12AX7 preamp and a Mullard EZ81. The caps and speakers date to the first quarter of 1968.
 
It is extremely rare to find an unmodded version of the Popular, as they are often modified to a 'Mini Bluesbreaker' 18WATT amp. The chassis is the same, only needs some tweaking and a few extra tubes and sockets...
 
The original RS Radio Spares transformers just sound amazing. Marshall Plexi sound all the way, but without the ear-drum ripping volume. The circuit board, electronics, caps, pots, transformers and marshall stickered Celestion 7442 10inch speakers are all original and the condition of the amp is just excellent. Only things replaced are the logo, which is a high end repro, and a few nuts and bolts.
 
The rarity of this amplifier, and the beautiful pinstripe, make this a real collectors amp!
