SOLD! - 1967 Gibson SG Special Cherry 2 x P90
All original 3.5Kg triple-o serial 1967 Gibson SG with earlier appointments, no breaks or repairs.
This little devil has a super cool triple-zero serial number (000xxx - no MADE IN USA - no volute) just like the legendary 1967 Flying V's!! It has a 1-piece mahogany neck with the typical long heel/neck joint and a 40mm nut width, Gibson logo with open b and o and dot on the i, beautiful bound RW fretboard with pearl dot inlays in superb condition.
The guitar retains its original Cherry finish which is in very nice condition. All shows perfectly under UV blacklight and there are no oversprays or refinishes. The body and neck have very little wear and look shiny and fresh. There is only one old and stable stress finish crack near the high e-sting tuner but that is pretty common for these guitars. It has the the original batwing pickguard, 2 x very powerful P90's, POT's dating to 1966 (13766xx), wiring, and all with untouched solder. The knobs are the original black silver and the tremolo, bridge, handle, switch, plastics etc are also all original. The original open back strip tuners are replaced for a set of later tuners so it stays in tune perfectly.
This SG plays like a dream and sounds great. It's not often you find these killer guitars in such a great condition!
Comes in the original and rare 1960's Gibson rectangular case with orange plush lining
