SOLD! - 1967 Gibson ES-355 Mono Sparkling Burgundy faded to Heather Poly Copper
This stunning beauty was originally finished in Sparkling Burgundy (remnants are still visible in the pickup cavity) but after a small headstock crack it was once refinished butt-ugly into a "sort-of" Cherry Red.
A few years ago it was painstakingly restored, refinished and aged into its former glory to shine on stage once more. And so it did over the past couple of months in the hands of a super cool pro musician - and it will also feature in a NETFLIX series this year!!!
Back then it was also converted with an original 1965 ES-335 Mono Pentatone harness. The complete and original 1967 Stereo Varitone harness is still in the case so you could just pop it back in and have it all original again if preferred.
It's all original otherwise except for a 1962 ES-335 Pickguard and an early 70's Gibson ES-355 hardshell case.
We would describe the sound of each position like this. More detailed info can be found on the The Lisle website.
1) Bypass - wide open, most powerful setting
2) Bass with reduced Mid & Treble
3) Bass & Mid with reduced Treble
4) Mid with reduced Bass & Treble
5) Mid & Treble with reduced bass
