SOLD! - 1966 Gibson Melody Maker SG Pelham Blue "All Pelham" Short Scale

This insanely cool vintage Gibson Melody Maker SG is in its original "All Pelham" Blue finish, which has faded to a very cool green depending on the light, and it weather checked like there's no tomorrow. The Pelham finish contibues on the back of the neck and headstock as well, which is pretty rare. Allmost all of the Melody Makers have a clear finished neck!
 
This guitar is just spectacular. Very light (2.68Kg), great player, and all original. It has a small but chunky round C-shaped neck that plays very easy and holds its tone. The short scale neck makes it a perfect guitar for those that are not 6 foot and a few inches tall... Includes the original 1960's cardboard case. One pot is replaced but the original is in the case. The guitar is currently string as a wrap-around tailpiece for perfect low action and playability.
 
It sounds very beautiful with a sparkling warm tone you just don't expect! And if you want to take rock even a bit further we would suggest a Joe Barden MM Humbucker or a Curtis Novak MM P90 to finish it off, just like the "Master of Cool" Ruben Block.
