SOLD! - 1963 Gibson Les Paul Junior SG Model Cherry - 2,9Kg
"Is this a Les Paul?"
Yessiree! This is a Les Paul Junior from 1963. That is, it's an SG as we all can see. But at that time Gibson still called these the "Les Paul" models and you can still see it on the headstock! Lester had already told Gibson he didn't like the new models but the contract wasn't over yet so it was only by the end of '63 that Gibson changed the name to SG.
You'll be hard pressed to find a 2.9Kg Gibson Les Paul these days... ;-)
This guitar is an amazing ROCK AXE! You can see that is was played a lot. And then some! Checks, dings, dongs, marks, scratches, chips etc. etc. but it's all original including the P90, pots, electronics, plastics and finish. Has a nice feeling chunky feeling neck, super low action, powerful P90, lively and resonand lightweight body. Comes in a non original SG case. And oh yes, it rocks like there is no tomorrow!!
