These babies are real Tone Monsters!!

this 1962 Gibson GA-8 Discoverer is a fairly rare amp, not to be confused with the GA-8T Gibsonette. These amps run 12-14WATTs with 2 x 6V6 Power Tubes on parallel as opposed to the more common push-pull configurations, 1 x 12AX7 Preamp Tube and a 5Y3 Rectifier Tube.
 
Many came with 10" Speakers but this one has the original 12" Jensen speaker! It has a simple but very effective Volume-Tone setup and has Tone For Days, you will not be able to stop playing these!

Tweedy (as in Fender Princeton/Deluxe) sounding, but it definitely has its own vibe. Punchier, raunchier, and less refined than a Fender. Great mids & high end. They break up pretty early, around 5 on the volume knob, but really saturate around 7-8, then they over compress after that like Neil Young's fuzz tone!!!
