1961 Gibson Les Paul SG Special TV Yellow DC Limed Mahogany

Here's another SUPER ROCK MONSTER for you!!
 
It becomes harder and harder to find original Specials these days, let alone TV Yellow ones...

So, this is an all original 1961 Gibson Les Paul Special which looks super cool bust most importantly also is an incredible sounding battle axe with great dynamics & powerful attack. And with just 3,2Kg this guitar has a nice low weight so it's super comfortable to play for long periods of time and very easy to handle. The guitar looks amazing and has hardly any serious wear. 
 
Also, the later double cut versions (1960-1961) were changed by Gibson to prevent them from the inevitable heel crack. Gibson moved back the neck pickup so there's more wood around the heel and the super long tenon construction is way more solid then that of the first 58-59 Specials.
 
The two original P90's deliver a punchy, ballsy rock tone that seem to sustain for days and have a lot of bite and aggressive power. The neck has a nice and comfortable C-shape feel and plays super easy. The pot's, electronics, bumblebee capacitors, untouched solder, tuners, plastics, pickguard, knobs and even the wraparound tailpiece are original! 
 
The neck and body have some more wear, checking and discolouration from intense playing this monster but everything is an a very good and honest condition. There are no refins, no touch-ups, no cracks, no breaks or repairs. The TV yellow finish has a beautiful almost warm see-through glow which is very rare for 60's TV Specials and Juniors. Comes in a later Les Paul case.
