€ 795,00Prijs

This is a very cool single cutaway, solid center body Silvertone made by Danelectro, Neptune, New Jersey, circa 1960. The guitar looks spectacular, weighs only 2.5Kg and plays and sounds good. No case included.

This beauty, which was named model 1417 in 1960 and model 1415L later on, features a copper bronze lacquer finish on a masonite over pine construction, a white vinyl underlay, white vinyl binding, one single coil lipstick tube style pickup, two aluminum strap pins, two white plastic knobs, a metal nut, a "dolphin nose" matching headstock and a chrome plated brass bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle. The all original, six in-line, opened back one piece tuners with white plastic buttons are in good working order.

It has a straight, bolt-on, neck with matching bronze lacquer finish on the rear and headstock, force fitted plastic dot inlays on a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, and 25.75" scale. The frets are in great condition.

The "dolphin nose" headstock, featuring a horizontal, raised plastic faux-chrome script Silvertone logo is beyond cool.

The single lipstick style single coil pickup is in very good condition. It is potent, clean and bright without being harsh or too trebly. There is one volume and one tone control for the pickup. The guitar also has a metal three-way toggle switch. The pots and switch are clean and in good condition and date 1960. The electronics are accessible through a replaced wooden control cavity coverplate.
