SOLD! - 1960 3.1Kg Gibson Les Paul Junior DC Cherry faded to orange/brown

This super lightweight 3.15Kg vibrant instrument has a massive tone - very resonant and clear when played unplugged. It is completely original but it has an old headcrack that was pro repaired some time ago.
 
The neck is very comfortable to play and has a sweet and fast 60's "C" profile and a lovely fingerboard. The solid mahogany body and neck show some heavy aging, the finish has faded to a satin brown whereas some parts that haven't seen the sun too often still have a deep cherry color. The body, neck and headstock show dings, dongs, scratches and marks all over and along the sides of the bass and treble bouts, horns and edges. The back of the neck, headstock and front face have had an overspray at the time of the headstock repair but it blacklights nice so it was a long time ago and the original finish is still underneath.
 
It has the original electronics with 1960 pots, original capacitor and a super sounding original P90 "dog-ear" pickup with a good high output!! But it sounds very open and rich and with the tone down it can sound so sweet and jazzy as well. The tuners are the original Kluson strip tuners, the knobs, plastics, strap buttons, truss rod, tailpiece and studs are all original and blacklight perfect except for the jack plate which is a repro. Comes in an old Les Paul type case.
 
The Les Paul Junior is a very versatile instrument that has it all: When played at maximum volume levels it is loud and aggressive and a mean, pure rock machine on fire.
