Now, does this look like a collectors wall-hanger or does it look like a 5-star rocket that blasts off in an inferno of heat when plugged in on stage?

This super lightweight 3.2Kg vibrant instrument has a big tone - very resonant and clear when played unplugged. It is almost all original with no breaks, cracks or repairs and even comes in the original case that has a broken handle.

The neck is very comfortable to play and has a soft feeling early 60's "C" profile and a lovely Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The solid mahogany body and neck show some very heavy aging, the finish has faded on several places but still has that cherry red glow. The body, neck and headstock show  dings, dongs, scratches and marks all over and along the sides of the bass and treble bouts, horns and edges. The finish on the back of the neck has worn, and has small dings throughout but it looks remarkably nice. On the front of the body some punkrocker at some point in the past wrote his name on there but it has been buffed out. The headstock face has wear as well around the edges. The neck has been  refretted but there's still plenty of life left.

It has the original electronics with 1960 pots, a "Black Beauty Sprague" capacitor and a super nice original P90 "dog-ear" pickup with a big output (8.19KOhm) but it is not as aggressive as usual and it can sound very sweet and jazzy! The tuners are the original Kluson strip tuners, the knobs, plastics, strap buttons, truss rod cover etc are all original. The wraparound tailpiece is a high end Music City ‘stud finder’ Nickel Aged for perfect intonation and killer sound.

The Les Paul Junior is a very versatile instrument that has it all: When played at maximum volume levels it is loud and aggressive and a mean, pure rock machine. When played at low volume levels with the tone rolled down it sounds sweet as a baby's buttocks.  It is the favorite choice of many great guitarists including Keith Richards, Leslie West, Mick Jones, Rich Robinson, Billie Joe Armstrong, Keith Urban, Phil X, etc et
