Here's another real road warrior, ready for battle!!!

This stunning 3.4Kg axe has seen a thousand-and-one stages and it shows: look at the character and mojo!! It is very resonant and the two P90's sound great with a nice combination of sounds. This wonderful piece of Gibson history is destined to ignite a true love affair with it's next lucky owner on the next roadtrip.

One of the trademarks of a great sounding guitar is it's appearance. Players who know what to look for in a vintage guitar tend to gravitate towards the ones that look like they've been around the world and back. And this one has seen some action to say the least - nicks, chips, dents, dings, scratches, pickwear, finish checking, buckle rash, small cracks and heavy finish wear - it's all there, and we love it!  Just good, honest play wear on a 67 year old guitar with a beautiful patina. No heel-, head- or neck cracks or breaks! One significant repair is around both studs and studholes. These have had some bad fixes over the past but they are now professionally repaired with a new piece of mahogany, new stud inserts and a proper touch up and relic job. Original studs and bushings are in the case.

It has a chunky one-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.  The back of the neck is very worn and feels like you have known it for decades. The dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard has some wear. The new frets show almost no wear whatsoever. The original Kluson strip tuners have shrunken plastic tips but they work fine. The neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.

It has a solid one-piece mahogany body with the original nickel wraparound tailpiece, 5-ply black pickguard, original black top hat knobs etc. The P90 single coils with black 'soapbar' covers are original and have a good output. The neck pickup sounds softt, sweet and jazzy and has a lovely warm feel. The bridge pickup is agressive and loud and can sound anywhere from gnarly and twangy to hard rock punchy. In the middle it's just magic as the two combine into a wide array of sound. All pots are original, as is the 3-way toggle switch, capacitor and electronics. All in perfect working condition. Comes in an 80's non original Les Paul Brown case with pink plush lining.
