SOLD! - 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior Single Cut Sunburst P90
This little guy screams like a rat up a drainpipe. Hit that chord and you will hear that full blown 50's P90 rock tone. But as a matter of fact it can sound sweet and jazzy as well. Very kind and gentle. Notable players are Leslie West, Billie Joe Armstrong, Steve Howe, Larry Coryell and many others.
For sale is a rare and all original 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior in sunburst finish that is in incredible condition! Purchased by the 3rd owner in 2012 from George Gruhn in Nashville, who got it just a few weeks earlier from the second owner living in Gallatin, TN, USA. The Gallatin musician played this guitar for over 40 years and used it in bands mainly during the 70's and 80's. Eventually sold it to Gruhn in 2012 as he needed the money.
It has it's original finish, pickups, pots, "Grey Tiger" capacitor, electronics, studs, tailpiece, plastics, knobs, pickguard etc. Had a refret with medium jumbo's in 2012 performed by Gruhn (originals in the case). To prevent the illusive "post lean", the studs inserts are replaced for vintage length inserts (originals are also in the case). No cracks, breaks, repairs of refins.
The neck has a nice feel to it and not as the usual mid 50's Junior necks: Big, Fat & Chunky: this beauty has a lovely 59 neck profile. Comes in a later high quality hardshell case.
