1955 Fender Tweed Champ 5E1 Narrow Panel
The Fender Champ Amplifier has been one of the greatest amps of all time and has been a favorite of recording studios and recording artists for over 60 years!
Why does everyone love the Fender Champ? Because they sound amazing... Their low wattage tubes provide a clean tone at low volumes and you can get that overdriven tube crunch when you turn up the volume. Since these amps are low wattage, you get get that fender tube crunch without blowing out your windows. Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Billy Gibbons, Slash, Joe Walsh, Duane Allman, they all know.
Clapton said he had his best tone ever when recording the "Layla Sessions" with Duane Allman. They both used a 5E1 and 5F1 Fender Tweed Champ back then...
This mid '55 Tweed Champ has had a professional re-tweed, new grill cloth and some work done to the cabinet. The speaker and baffle are upgraded to 8-inch. All transformers, caps, resistors and electronics seem to be original.
