SOLD! - 1952 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Converted to '59 Black w/ real PAF pickups

€ 17.995,00Prijs

This beauty started life as a super nice old wood 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop with trapeze tailpiece and P90's and was converted to a '59 BlackBurst with real PAF's, Tune-O-Matic and Stop Tailpiece!

The top of this guitar has been refinished Black, possibly in the 80's. The rest of the guitar, the neck, sides, and back, still have the original 1952 finish. It has a very big and typical '52 nice round neck, with a great feel. The neck has not been reset, but the bridge is lowered to compensate. Its really is a dream guitar..

The original '59/'60/'61 PAF stickered Patent Applied For Humbuckers read 7.9k Ohms at the neck and 8.0k Ohms at the bridge. They are really rich and open sounding and are a true joy to listen to.

The Tune-O-Matic and Stop Tail appear to be '59 period correct. Pots are numbered 440-70501 0234 and seem to be original 1952, The Bumble Bee capacitors are original '59/'60/'61 of which 1 normal size and 1 small size. Several parts are original period correct like the trussrod cover, switch, several screws, bits and pieces, back covers etc. Weighs about 4.1Kg

This beauty comes in its original brown case with pink lining, which is pretty used and worn out...
